Police were alerted about the incident at 22:21 on Thursday evening. Two men in their 20s and 30s, respectively, were arrested and later arrested for serious abuse.
"They were arrested pretty soon after the incident, but not directly adjacent to the scene," said Maria Linné, RLC communicator at the police.
The battered man was taken by ambulance to hospital.
- He was awake and talkable and we heard him in hospital, says Maria Linné.
