“According to the information of the regional dispatching services of forestry, over the past day on August 9 in Russia 41 forest fires on an area of 23 thousand 676 ha were eliminated. At 00:00 Moscow time on August 10, there were 219 forest fires in the territory of the Russian Federation on an area of 228 thousand 840 ha, ”the FIA Avialesohrana press service quoted TASS as saying.
It is noted that most of the fires were recorded in the Krasnoyarsk Territory (104 fires on an area of 92 thousand 215 ha) and the Irkutsk Region (79 on an area of 128 thousand 482 ha).
It is also reported that the emergency mode due to forest fires was introduced throughout the Irkutsk region, Yakutia, Krasnoyarsk Territory and in two districts of Buryatia.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Emergencies will strengthen the group to extinguish fires in Siberia.
