Suspended since July 25 to "flatten" the health precautions for employees, the reconstruction site of the cathedral will resume on August 19.

The resumption of the reconstruction of Notre-Dame de Paris is scheduled for 19 August, since the guarantee will be "provided that it fully meets the requirements of the Labor Inspectorate," said Friday in a statement the prefect of the Île-de-France region.

The site was scheduled to restart next week after being interrupted in late July, but examinations related to lead contamination delayed its recovery.
