“To the extent possible, we really try to provide assistance and support to our friend and partner, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. It will continue this way, do not doubt it, ”RIA Novosti quoted Medvedev as saying.

He also said that prior to his visit to Kyrgyzstan, he was discussing Russian-Kyrgyz relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I want to convey greetings from Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Before going here, we just discussed our relationship and a number of other issues, ”the head of the Russian government noted.

Medvedev also expressed hope for further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries following the talks.

Earlier, Medvedev said that the situation surrounding the detention of ex-President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev is an internal affair of Bishkek, although Moscow cannot be indifferent to what is happening.

At the same time, he noted that Kyrgyzstan has exhausted the "limit on revolution" in the 21st century.
