It was during the Hermanö race sailing around that the sailors met the participants in the powerboat show Smögen Poker Run.
A movie showing the meeting has led to a major rift between sailors and racing boat drivers, which SVT News West has reported on.
According to Peter Novén, preliminary investigator at the Gothenburg Maritime Police, the police have not received any formal police report after the incident.
- I have searched and found no one. So I can't comment on this specific case, it's not a police case at the moment, he says.
However, Peter Novén points out that there are clear sea rules and a sea law. In the Maritime Law there is, among other things, the crime "Carelessness in maritime traffic".
- You always have to operate your boat safely and take into account prevailing circumstances and other maritime traffic, says Peter Novén.
