Smith thus replaces hip-hop star Cardi B, one of the festival's big draws, who chose to skip the festival for personal reasons.

22-year-old Jorja Smith debuted with the critically acclaimed album "Lost & found" last year, and has made music with a number of heavyweights in the industry, such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Stormzy.

During the summer she acted as a bandwagon at a number of festivals, such as Field Day and Melt.

The play on Way out west will be the artist's second in Slottsskogen. Smith also performed at the festival last year, but that time on a much smaller stage.
