“So far, 355 fires on an area of ​​more than 1.2 million ha have been eliminated in three regions of the Siberian Federal District and Far Eastern Federal District,” the department said.

According to the Avialesokhrana, on August 8, 43 natural fires on an area of ​​3291 ha were eliminated in Russia.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev ordered the government to allocate about 6 billion rubles to extinguish forest fires in several regions.
