The Federation Council appreciated the statement of the Ambassador of Ukraine in Germany on the Norman format
The First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, in an interview with RT, commented on the statement of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andriy Melnyk, who announced that Germany was ready to participate in the negotiations in the Norman format.
“It is right that Germany expressed condolences in connection with the deaths of four Ukrainian troops. True, at the same time, they forgot to express condolences when civilians died in the Donbass ... This (organization of international negotiations. - RT ) should not be decided by ambassadors, this should be worked out at the level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So far I have not heard such information from representatives of the Foreign Ministry, ”the senator said.
He noted that further development of the dialogue within the framework of the “Norman Four” depends on compliance with the conditions of the Minsk Agreements by Ukraine.
"The prospects for the format depend on the position of Ukraine ... If Ukraine does not comply with the Minsk agreements, then there will be no prospects for the (Norman. - RT ) format either," Jabarov added.
Earlier, Miller wrote on Twitter that Germany confirmed its readiness to intensify the negotiation process in the Norman format.
