The Supreme Court has decided to appoint Yukihiko Imazaki, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Court, as the new secretary of the Tokyo High Court.

This personnel appointment is due to the appointment of Seicho Hayashi Michi of the Tokyo High Court as Judge of the Supreme Court on the 2nd of next month.

Yukihiko Imazaki, who was decided to be appointed as the new secretary of the Tokyo High Court, is 61 years old. After serving as Director of the Criminal Bureau and Library of the Supreme Court and Director of the Mito District Court, he has served as the Secretary-General of the Supreme Court since April 2016.

The Supreme Court has also decided to appoint Mr. Satoshi Nakamura, Director of the Mito District Court, as the secretary general of the Supreme Court succeeding Mr. Imasaki. Nakamura is 57 years old. After serving as General Manager of the General Affairs Bureau of the Supreme Court, he has been the director of the Mito District Court since September 2018.

Both personnel will be announced on the 2nd of next month.
