Hussein Zeinali, executive director of the National Medicinal Plants Project, said in June that 90 percent of the global rose water market is owned by his country, with exports of rose, rose water and essential oil exceeding $ 10 million last year.

"Last year, we exported about 3,857,000 kilograms of rose water to the Gulf states despite sanctions against Iran. I expect this figure to rise if the problems of transferring funds from abroad are over," he said.

Many uses

Perfuming the sanctuary
