ROME (Reuters) - Belgian international striker Romelu Lukaku has signed a five-year contract from Manchester United, the club said on Thursday, in a deal estimated to be worth 80 million euros.

"The Belgian from Manchester United has signed a contract with Nerazzurri until 30 June 2024," the club said in a statement on their website.

The official statement, which wished success to Lukaku, "from all Nerazzurri fans" after the club's Twitter account posted a short video in which the Belgian international says "Inter is not for anyone, so I am here."

Lukaku arrived in the Italian city on Wednesday night to prepare for a medical examination, after press reports in both countries reported that the two clubs reached an agreement on it.

It is reported that he will receive an annual salary of up to nine million euros.

Video footage on Interfaces showed Inter supporters greeting Lukaku at the airport and shouting "Lukaku is ours".

His agent, Federico Pastorello, also posted a picture of him with the international striker on a private jet, with a commentary "on the way to Milan."

Man United's top scorer is one of only five players to have scored 50 goals before the age of 23. He is the fifth youngest player to score 100 goals in the Premier League and is the country's top scorer with 40 goals.

Lukaku spent two seasons at the Red Devils after moving from Everton for 75 million pounds ($ 91 million) in the summer of 2017, in a record time between two English clubs.

His name was reportedly included in a possible deal that includes his departure to Juventus (the old lady's team, the champion of the past eight seasons) in return for the arrival of Argentine Paolo Dybala from Juventus to the "Red Devils".

However, press reports recently said that the English club turned the page on the possibility of signing the Argentine because of exaggerated demands for the salary and agent.
