“In recent years, NED has been involved in color revolutions and regime changes, and has also created unrest and chaos in many countries or regions,” TV channel quoted Chinese expert on international relations, Victor Gao.

As noted, in Hong Kong, the organization’s activity was observed through its two branches - the Center for Solidarity and the National Institute of Democracy.

According to Gao, the NED also helps organize meetings between Hong Kong opposition leaders and officials in Washington.

Earlier in China, it was reported that some US politicians, ignoring international law and the basic norms of international relations, repeatedly and grossly interfered in the affairs of Hong Kong and the internal affairs of the PRC.

Beijing also made a presentation to London because of a statement by former British Foreign Minister Jeremy Hunt, who supported the right of Hong Kong residents to protest peacefully.
