The alarm came to the police shortly after 11pm on Wednesday evening. Several callers stated that they heard a loud bang in central Landskrona and a police patrol found that something had exploded at the city hall.

The scene has been blocked off and police are questioning witnesses to the incident.

National bomb protection has also been called to the site to ensure that no explosive items remain. Forensic technicians will then find out what has happened. No one has yet been arrested for the act.

Photos from the site show several broken windows and the entrance to the building is damaged. It is currently unclear what caused the explosion.

The incident is classified as dangerous destruction and the police's forensic technician conducts a crime scene investigation. At present, no one is arrested for crime.
