A 6.0-scale earthquake occurred near Iran's northeastern city of Iran today (Reuters, AFP), citing Taiwan weather authorities.

Authorities say the time of the earthquake is 5:28 am today and the depth of the epicenter is 10 km.

Authorities say the damage situation has not yet been identified.

The European Earthquake Earthquake Center and the US Geological Survey have suggested an earthquake of 5.9.

Witnesses told Reuters that the building was shaken in Taipei.

In Taiwan, more than 100 people were killed in an earthquake in 2016, and in 1999, more than 2,000 people died in a 7.6 magnitude earthquake.
