SBU detained trying to sell weapons of the military APU

It is reported by the SBU press center.

It is specified that three servicemen and their accomplice tried to sell 12 RPG-22 and RPG-26 grenade launchers, 30 RGD-5 and F-1 grenades, more than 30 grenade detonators and almost 3 thousand rounds of ammunition. For all weapons they asked for 50 thousand hryvnias.

Suspects were detained while trying to make a deal.

In June, an officer of the press service of the defense department of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic, Ivan Filiponenko, said that Ukrainian servicemen had sold an ammunition box to the LPR People’s Police.

In January, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko said that up to 5 million units of illegal weapons are in the hands of the country's inhabitants.
