Two days after the Indian government announced the abrogation of the autonomy of Kashmir, Pakistan, which claims sovereignty over the region, launched a strong diplomatic response: Islamabad returns the Indian ambassador and ends any trade relationship with his Indian neighbor . A firm answer, but expected.

India was to expect these repercussions: the authoritarian abrogation of Indian Kashmir autonomy definitely seals the sovereignty of New Delhi over this disputed region .

A painful news for Pakistan claiming this predominantly Muslim territory . Islamabad therefore refers the Indian ambassador and recalls that Pakistani based in New Delhi.

A diplomatic response almost natural after such an affront and recurrent procedure for these two brothers enemies, who have waged four wars in 72 years of existence.

Suspension of commercial relations is more rare. Islamabad has so far refused to exempt many Indian products from customs duties, but continues to receive them.

It must be said that Pakistanis need this trade more than their neighbor. As a market value, Pakistan imports three times more products from India than it exports. It will be necessary to see if Islamabad will be able to maintain this blockade for a long time.
