Frankfurt / Main (AP) - Mostly positively received corporate figures and a significant recovery on Wall Street have brought the German stock market on Wednesday, a positive trading start. The Dax gained 0.61 percent to 11,638.74 points in the first few minutes of trading, having slipped 0.8 percent the previous day. The MDax, which represents the shares of medium-sized German companies, also rose by 0.61 percent to 25 095.60 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the eurozone's leading index, advanced by about 0.4 percent.
However, a radical recovery is not in sight. The recent escalation spiral in the trade war between the US and China had pulled the Dax down significantly in recent days.
