China duties, Trump: no exemption for Apple, "produce in the US" The US president attacked on Twitter New York, July 26th (askanews) - The US president, Donald Trump, has once again put pressure on Apple, in an attempt to convince her to produce in the United States. On Twitter, Trump wrote: "Apple will not be given exemptions on duties for components of Mac Pro made in China. Doing them in the US, no duty!"

Recently, Apple has shifted production of its Mac Pro from the United States to China, despite growing trade tensions between the two countries. The Cupertino company has signed Quanta Computer for the production of the Mac Pro, the only one that, among its main devices, was produced in the United States. An Apple spokesman, after the news was released by the press, specified that the new Mac Pro was designed and built in the United States and that some components are produced in the United States. "Final assembly is only part of the production process," the spokesman added.

Trump also attacked Google: "There may or may not be national security concerns regarding Google and its relations with China. If there's a problem we'll find out, I sincerely hope it's not there," he tweeted.
