The center, run by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), operates 24 hours a day, has a staff of 20 and has 13 beds. It offers a variety of consultations, treatments and isolation services, with the potential to lower air pressure levels in isolation rooms, case assessments and rooms. Al Mazmi said that the center, in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), is organizing health awareness campaigns that will last until the end of September, focusing on caring for employees' nutrition patterns, raising their health awareness and conducting tests.

He added that the work at the site «Expo 2020 Dubai» is ongoing around the clock, and employs about 40 thousand workers of various nationalities and companies, and therefore there is a need for an emergency center that meets the need in the event of an accident or any work injuries, to treat the injured or sick Fast.

He stated that the location of the center is close to the main street, so as to facilitate the transfer of sick or injured cases that need treatment in a hospital, as it is close to the event (Expo).

He stressed that the center aims primarily to spread health awareness among all workers in «Expo», as it is concerned with the organization of preventive and training workshops for workers on the site, against accidents and injuries, and awareness about food and health habits, so the center is preventive before being therapeutic, pointing to The Center is carrying out training in batches for the workers at the site, in a tent equipped and attached to it, by doctors and specialists from the Authority, and began the training and awareness phase from last July, and continue until next September.

Abdul-Ghani pointed out that the doctors working in the center, whether before, during or after the event, are emergency medical specialists, adding that the case transferred from the center to any hospital, have priority to enter the hospital immediately.

He explained that the Authority's objective in establishing the «Emergency Expo Center» is not limited to the treatment of medical cases and injuries in «Expo», but to spread health awareness through awareness campaigns for workers in the construction area, pointing out that the center launched awareness campaigns on how to deal with injuries and work environment Dust, dust, sunstroke, and other campaigns on chronic diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and blood pressure, as well as blood donation campaigns.
