The National Fund for Family Allowances announced Monday that the number of beneficiaries of the activity premium had crossed the 4 million mark, one million more in one quarter.

The number of beneficiaries of the activity bonus increased sharply at the beginning of the year: one million more between December and March. Or a jump of 52% compared to the same period of the previous year.

This figure, published Monday by the National Family Allowances Fund (CNAF), which pays this premium, is directly related to the increase in the activity premium. Last December, in response to the crisis of "yellow vests", Emmanuel Macron had indeed announced an increase of 100 euros net additional for employees paid at the Smic. This made it possible to improve the purchasing power of the modest workers without representing a salary increase which would have increased the cost of the work supported by the companies.

Four million beneficiaries in total

If, finally, the rise is a little under 100 euros, this increase has created a real call of air. Especially since employees earning a little more than the Smic have also seen their right to the expanded activity bonus. As soon as the device was finalized, several million people connected to the CNAF simulator to find out whether, given the household income, they could claim this new formula activity bonus. As a result, by the end of March, the number of beneficiaries crossed the 4 million mark. That is, a million more in one quarter.
