Mr. Abe spoke about the relationship between Korea and Japan at a press conference after attending the 74th anniversary of the bombing in Hiroshima today.

[Abe / Japan Prime Minister: We hope that Korea will keep its promises regarding the nation and its roots first, beginning with the Korea-Japan Bill of Rights Agreement.]

He also made a ridiculous claim that "Korea is breaking international treaties by unilaterally violating the Billing Agreement."

Abe said he urged South Korea to respond appropriately.

We have repeatedly argued that Korea has violated the agreement. Didn't you talk about Japan's export control measures and additional economic retaliation?

<Reporter>

That's right. Mr. Abe's repeated stance suggests he will not respond to the Korean government's response.

However, today's Prime Minister Abe's remarks made it clear that Japan's increased export control was the result of a compulsory ruling.

In response, our Foreign Ministry urged Japan to abandon a selfish attitude that undermines free trade order, saying that unfair economic measures taken by Japan have proved to be economic retaliation due to past problems.

So finally, the Abe regime will continue, as determined last week.

As the Japanese government announced on the 2nd, amendments to the Enforcement Decree of the Export Trade Management Act are expected to be promulgated tomorrow.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will change the notice in accordance with the change of this Decree.

In addition to these three items, including semiconductor materials, there is a possibility of adding new export materials that require individual permits.
