27 July 2019A Hong Kong another day of protests against the Government and the law on extradition to China. Thousands of protesters took to the streets again this afternoon, challenging the police ban after yesterday's big protest at the metropolitan international airport.

Always dressed in black, the demonstrations invaded the streets of Yuen Long, the same neighborhood where last Sunday a gang of several dozen men in white shirts armed with sticks and bars attacked people dressed in black back in the local subway station from the Civil Human Rights Front march. It is suspected that the raid, which caused at least 45 wounded, was carried out by people close to the Triad, the Chinese mafia.

The police had refused to grant the authorization for today's demonstration but the demonstrators decided to ignore the ban on the authorities precisely in protest of last Sunday's attack which had caused at least 45 wounded. A few hours before today's demonstration began, a man was arrested for assaulting another man with a knife. Riot police in Hong Kong threw tear gas and rubber bullets at protesters.
