More than 200 flights were canceled at the Hong Kong airport due to protests.

According to the newspaper, several flights were canceled on Tuesday, August 6.

Earlier, the head of the administration of Hong Kong, Carrie Lam, said that the demonstrators were trying to destroy the city.

On August 3, police in Hong Kong used tear gas against the demonstrators in order to disperse the protesters who surrounded the police station.

Large-scale protests in Hong Kong began in June due to the consideration of amendments to the law on extradition, which, if approved, will allow Hong Kong to extradite suspects to jurisdictions with which it does not have an extradition agreement, including Taiwan, Macao and mainland China.
