“This gives grounds to assume that the main cause of natural fires was the careless treatment of a person with fire,” TASS reports.
Also, the Emergency Situations Ministry reported that due to the strengthening of the grouping in the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts, the units of the Emergencies Ministry and the Ministry of Defense managed to eliminate natural fires in more than 1 million hectares in a week.
“The total area of fires has decreased by 25% since July 30,” the agency added.
Earlier, the An-26 military transport aircraft with an interdepartmental group flew from the Krasnoyarsk airfield to detect the largest centers of forest fires in Siberia.
