05 August 2019A boat with 48 migrants, including 27 women of which 3 are pregnant and 6 are minors, has arrived independently in Lampedusa. According to testimonies collected by Mediterranean Hope - the program for refugees and migrants of the Federation of Evangelical churches - migrants would have traveled for two days after leaving Libya.

During the journey an unknown number of people would have fallen into the sea. Among them, witnesses say in Mediterranean Hope, a 5-month-old boy and a 30-year-old boy.

Some of the migrants needed medical assistance.
