Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Washington, Prince Rima Bint Bandar bin Sultan, did not pass by.

This comes after the US State Department and some Saudi official accounts published a picture of them after the meeting, provoking great controversy and interactions across social networking platforms.

The picture shows Princess Rima standing next to Shinker and behind them a hand-made Iranian rug with the word "Iran" clearly written.

Activists questioned whether the meeting was held under the auspices of Iran, stressing that the picture reduces the Gulf scene today, "Ambassador Saudi Arabia and Assistant Secretary of the US and Iranian background."

In the background there is an Iranian handmade rug and the name of Iran is clear. Have you focused on the princess and knew Maidur behind the scenes? I wish you success and my brother shared it with the mercenary Jewish people pic.twitter.com/uHseTrQyFK

Others have expressed surprise that Iran is present at the meeting, although Saudi Arabia and the United States view it as a common enemy, which many consider ironic.

It did not stop there. Israel's account in Arabic re-added the picture with a comment "wishing to be the first Saudi ambassador to the United States," which made many consider it to have "increased in tone."

We hope for the first Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the United States to succeed in her mission and the participation of women in the diplomatic effort is a remarkable step that deserves commendation. https://t.co/pijkJI6UXA

King Salman bin Abdul Aziz issued royal orders appointing Princess Rima Bint Bandar as Saudi ambassador to Washington, to be the first woman to hold the position in the history of the Kingdom. She was also selected as one of the 200 most powerful Arab women in Forbes Middle East magazine in 2014.
