AC Milan announced on Sunday that it has signed a contract with Algerian star Ismail Ben Nasser for five years.

"The club has signed a contract with Ismail Ben Nasser from Empoli," the Lombardi club said in a statement.

Ben Nasser, 21, played for France under the age of 19 before deciding to defend the colors of the Algerian national team and contribute to his crown of the African Nations Cup last month in Egypt.

The young star drew strong attention in the African championship after he starred with the Greens and won the title of best player in the tournament.

Ben Nasser moved to the Empoli team in the summer of 2017 from Arsenal, where he spent two seasons.
