Germany: Vice-chairman of the SPD economic forum wants to run for party presidency

Berlin (AFP) The vice president and co-founder of the SPD economic forum, Robert Maier, wants to run for the SPD national presidency. The 39-year-old Berlin start-up entrepreneur told the newspaper "Welt" (Monday edition) that he wanted to set "significantly different priorities" than the current party leadership, both on the subject of security and migration as well as economic issues.
