Tehran (AP) - The oil tanker confiscated in Iran comes from the state news agency IRNA according to Iraq. The Iraqi tanker "Hita" has 700 000 liters of illegal diesel on board. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards had stopped the tanker and arrested the seven crew members. The incident falls into the debate over a military operation to protect merchant shipping in the Persian Gulf. The Revolutionary Guards also stopped the British oil tanker Stena Impero in the Strait of Hormuz.
