If you do not know much about the term "dropshipping," your ads may follow you, which is what some consider the ideal recipe for earning wealth, because it allows the opening of a global store without cost, without the import of goods and inventory management, which gives a huge profit easily, But it is not that different from those "chicken eggs" promised by many sites and users of YouTube, according to the French newspaper Le Monde.

Sell ​​what you do not own
"Drop Shipping" means the sale of products you do not already own, nor will you have to store or encapsulate nor charge them, as the seller becomes a mere broker who manages the sale between the original supplier and the buyer.

Simply buy a cheap product from a Chinese site, and advertise it on large sites such as Amazon and eBay at twice the price, and once it reaches you directly, record consumer data to be shipped to the product.

This type of sale - which promises to establish a commercial empire from home - seems much less profitable than what he says, although the principle on which it is based is quite legal and removes some risk in the commercial chain.

In practice, the term mainly refers to online stores that sell products purchased from Chinese export giants and deliver them directly to customers in Europe, the United States, Brazil, Canada or elsewhere.

Thousands of these stores appear each year, launched by Internet users who are saluted by the profit margin of this trade, where three euros of the tools purchased from China can be sold for 30 euros, the newspaper said.

But like all recipes for quick wealth, this system hides multiple problems, not only because it is a source of fraud, but because some stores deceive customs or misleading advertising, but for sellers too far from being rosy.

"It's a double-sided scam," says Jean-Baptiste Boiseau of the Signal Arnac website, where consumers who get a post-sale product and service are fooled by their ambitions, "The real winners are the intermediaries who allow the creation of a merchant site within minutes, such as Chopfay and Facebook, and people who sell training on this kind of trade."

"Dropshipping" is a difficult market in which hundreds of sites compete, some of which have people who do not have business training, and often sell the same products at similar prices, the newspaper said, noting that going into this area is almost impossible for the individual.

"After I started my shop, I made some sales in the first week, but I did not have enough data to do targeted ads on Facebook," he told Le Monde. "I sold a $ 70 lamp in the hope of winning $ 30, but my client was in Canada and the freight cost me $ 25," he said.

Adding to these risks are the fees, which can be quickly accumulated, including the almost necessary subscription at the world's best-selling, "best-selling" supermarkets, Schopfay.

The subscription costs thirty dollars a month, plus a 2 percent commission on sales, in exchange for hosting the site and managing payment systems and various services provided by Chopaypay.

Le Monde tested this service for the purposes of this report. In less than half an hour, it was able to create an anonymous online shop - and later to cancel its activity - to sell Hoover Bove Merry neckties, and bought the bond sold for less than 2 euros in China at 100 euros .

The question: Is Chopibay paid for the crime? The well-known site allows tools to "import" comments submitted on the AliExpress website, which suggests that the newly created pages have many customers.

Until 2018, it was a tool to display erroneous buying notices, such as "So in Marseille bought the product you are looking for" and has been removed since then, but it is still possible to install it with some basic technical knowledge.
