Sudanese TV reported that the military council and the forces of freedom and change have settled the contentious points related to the constitutional document and that the parties have begun to discuss the peace document signed between the freedom forces and the Revolutionary Front, which includes armed movements in several Sudanese regions.

The African Union mediator in Sudan, Mohamed Hassan Lebat, said negotiations would continue on the constitutional declaration document in the context of talks on understandings on key issues.

The African mediator said the military junta and the forces of change would continue their meetings on the final signing arrangements.

Al-Jazeera obtained extracts from the draft constitutional declaration that included representation in the Legislative Council and the components of the sovereign council and the Council of Ministers. The draft also includes a resolution to dissolve the transitional military council immediately after the signing of the constitutional declaration.

The Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed said that the Sudanese negotiations have made positive steps, and indicated that they are going well, and is optimistic about their success, because of the great efforts that have begun to bear fruit and achieve good results.
