Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Al-Sheikh paid 20 million euros for the acquisition of Garcia, the biggest shareholder of the Spanish club.

Al-Sheikh bought Al-Assiuti, who plays in the Egyptian Premier League at the beginning of last season, and changed his name to Pyramids, but after a season of problems he gave up the club to his UAE vice-president Al Shamsi and announced the move to Europe.

Spanish reports said Al-Sheikh had tried to buy Granada, but found difficulties in completing the deal.
