An announcement that amounts to saying that all Chinese imports will be subject to a surcharge. The first $ 250 billion of Chinese products were primarily industrial. They have already been overtaxed since September 2018 by 25%. The new list of 300 billion to be targeted from 1 September will cover by definition the rest, that is to say consumer products, electronic, such as televisions and mobile phones.
