EU countries decided to nominate Georgiev to head the IMF
The countries of the European Union agreed to nominate the candidacy of the World Bank Executive Director Kristalina Georgieva for the post of the new head of the International Monetary Fund.
About this in his Twitter wrote European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.
“Congratulations on your nomination as the European candidate for the post of IMF Managing Director,” he wrote.
According to him, Georgieva has all the necessary qualities to make an effective contribution to the IMF mission.
