The Portuguese newspaper Cristiano Ronaldo has been sentenced to prison by the South Korean police.

South Korea's police have begun investigation into the violation of their country's laws by Cristiano Ronaldo because of his absence from last Friday's match against South Korean champions.

Police in Seoul are looking into Ronaldo's lack of participation in the match and disrespect for part of the agreement to organize the match in the Asian round for Juventus in preparation for the new season.

The newspaper said that Ronaldo may face a penalty of imprisonment for one year because of his absence from the match.

She said the Portuguese star would not travel to be questioned by the Korean police, but the international police could ask the Italian government to extradite him if he found he was wrong.

The case is unlikely to reach this level, as international police usually deal with large cases with prison sentences of at least one year, but the repercussions of the case could hurt Ronaldo's image in the region, which could adversely affect his business profits.

Juventus faced a team from South Korea in a friendly that ended in a positive draw with three goals each.

The matchmaker threatened to sue Juventus because of Ronaldo's lack of participation in the match in accordance with the agreement between the two sides. The old lady's club replied that the player was absent because of suffering from a muscle injury.
