Ivorian striker Nicolas Pépé (24), who played for two years in Lille, has committed to Arsenal for a period not reported, according to the two clubs that made official Thursday the transfer of a record amount for the Gunners.
According to sources close to the record, the London club has paid 80 million euros out of bonus to attract the right winger who had scored 22 goals and issued 11 assists last season in Ligue 1 with the Losc. Arsenal has simply evoked a "record transfer" for the club, while Pepe becomes the most expensive African player in history.
