Stuttgart (dpa) - According to a survey of the KKH commercial health insurance, the number of skin cancers in the past ten years has risen rapidly. Thus, in 2017, 87 percent more men and women were diagnosed with black skin cancer than in 2007. In white skin cancer, the increase was even 145 percent. The health insurance company cites climate change as a possible reason for the frightening trend: more warm sunny days meant more days with high UV radiation.
