Hajj mission begins in the Holy Land .. The "campaigns" leave Monday

The Abu Dhabi Food and Safety Authority (ADACH) has sent a delegation of its officials within the official pilgrimage mission to supervise, inspect and control campaigns and meals for pilgrims, and to ensure that food traders comply with the necessary health requirements.

The official Hajj mission joins the members of the preparatory mission, which left the country on July 25, to follow up the construction of camps and contracts with the raft organizations.

The official delegation of the state pilgrimage mission arrived in Saudi Arabia yesterday, before leaving Abu Dhabi International Airport. The head of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Mohammad Matar Al Kaabi, In the highest level of responsibility for performing their duties in Hajj, carrying with them the will of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, to be "messengers of tolerance".

Addressing the members of the mission before their departure, Al Kaabi said: "Leave now the land of the homeland and bear with you a sense of responsibility and loyalty to the founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may Allah be pleased with him and loyalty to the leadership. They will be able to follow the pilgrims' movements step by step at the airports and at their headquarters in their campaigns in Makkah and Madinah till the day of al-Tarwiya. They will go out to their ready-made camps in Mina, then in Arafa, Falazdefa, and then the rest of the rituals and the Hajj.

Al-Kaabi stressed the need for official mission officials to cooperate with the campaigners to be one team to provide the highest quality preaching, educational and health services to the pilgrims. He praised the achievements of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, which provides millions of pilgrims from all over the world with integrated services. Food control

For its part, the Abu Dhabi Food and Safety Authority announced its participation in the official pilgrimage mission of the State, in cooperation with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, in order to spread the culture of food safety and to educate pilgrims about the correct food patterns for safe handling of foodstuffs to ensure their safety throughout the Hajj. That it sent a delegation of its officials to supervise and inspect the campaigns and meals provided to pilgrims, in addition to ensuring that food traders adhere to the necessary health requirements.

Through its participation in the official pilgrimage mission of the State, the Authority sought to sensitize pilgrims to the proper practices of safe handling of foodstuffs, to avoid corruption and damage, and to introduce them to the mechanism for storing and storing fresh and canned foodstuffs. The Commission prepared a number of awareness leaflets for distribution to pilgrims The Holy Qur'an, contains some guidelines and healthy rules in dealing with foodstuffs, which will preserve the health and safety of pilgrims. The official spokesman of the Authority, Eng. Thamer Rashid Al Qassimi, stressed the importance of activating the awareness role and spreading the food culture among the pilgrims about the health and safety of food, to ensure their safety and comfort during the Hajj period, pointing to the great role played by the inspectors of the body accompanying the Hajj mission, And supervision of the subjects of health and safety of food for pilgrims and organizers and supervisors, and control campaigns, and educate members of safe ways to provide meals in all holy places, in addition to their main tasks in the field inspection, and to ensure the cleanliness of the place of preparation of meals Personal hygiene of food handlers, and compel them to the need to maintain the cleanliness of the equipment used in the handling of food, cover food, as well as checking on the means of transport that operate on the supply of food to places of distribution.

"There are a lot of preventive measures to be taken by inspectors to protect pilgrims from exposure to food poisoning due to some malpractice," Al Qassimi said. "The most important of these is the need to ensure that food suppliers comply with the required temperatures for preserving and displaying food, and not to mix ready-to-eat foods such as vegetables and fruits. Such as poultry, meat and fish, to avoid cross-contamination. "
