“This is not even just an extension of the sanctions, it is a simplification of their introduction. Sanctions will not lead to an improvement in the Russian-American dialogue, the possibility of which says Trump. Moreover, given the anti-Russian sentiments in the congress, both in the House of Representatives and in the Senate, it is quite possible that these sanctions will be adopted, ”noted Blokhin.

According to him, the sanctions show that Trump is not sovereign on the Russian direction, even after Muller’s report turned out to be a “bubble”, as stressed by Blokhin.

“These senators are increasing their political image. At least Marco Rubio tried to run for the presidency, he is very ambitious, ”he added.

At the same time, Blokhin added that such proposals are being built into the course of containing Russia.

“Therefore, there is little that is new in these sanctions, it’s all so spelled out in all strategic documents,” he concluded.

Earlier, senators Marco Rubio and Chris Van Hollen proposed to provide for new sanctions in the budget against Russia.
