According to him, the equipment of smoking rooms costs money - and the airports will pass on these expenses to passengers.
"We believe that the smokers who will use these rooms should pay," said the parliamentarian.
He estimated the possible entrance fee to the smoking room at 50 - 100 rubles.
Tumusov also noted that the government should indicate in a separate regulatory act the maximum level of tobacco smoke near the premises.
Earlier, the State Duma in the first reading approved the project, involving the return of smoking areas to Russian airports.
The leader of the Political Expert Group Konstantin Kalachev, in an interview with RT, called the initiative timely and correct.
