The US government and the leaders of Congress have reached an agreement on the budget and raising the debt ceiling.
It has been agreed that spending over the next two years will be increased by billions of dollars. As a result, the United States budget deficit may break the $ 1 trillion limit next year.
President Donald Trump speaks of "a real compromise" on Twitter.
"With this agreement we aim to prevent a new government closure," Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer said in a statement.
The House of Representatives is expected to approve the agreement this week, before the delegates go on recess on July 26. The Senate will then vote on the deal next week. Finally, Trump must put his signature under it.
