South Korea fired warning shots on Tuesday after several Russian military planes entered South Korean airspace. This is reported by the South Korean Ministry of Defense.
The Russian planes are said to have invaded the airspace on the east coast of South Korea, AP reports.
According to South Korean medium Yonhap , the incident indeed took place in the airspace above the Baltic Sea.
The news organization also reports that it would be the first time that Russian planes had entered South Korea's airspace.
In addition to firing warning shots, South Korea is said to have launched some fighter jets. The ministry also reported that Chinese military aircraft had also invaded South Korean airspace on Tuesday.
