Atos's former minister and CEO, Thierry Breton, his wife and driver, who live at his home, were victims of a robbery during the night of Saturday to Sunday in Paris during which the attackers hit them and sequestered, was learned Tuesday from concordant sources.
Two men, "hooded and gloved", introduced at around 2:30 am in the housing of the former Minister of Economy (2005-2007) through a window that was not closed, according to two sources close file, confirming information from the Parisian.
Arrived in the room of the spouses, awakened by the noise, they threatened them with their "revolver-type" handguns, beaten several times and were especially given "a diamond bracelet worth 50,000 euros" and a few hundred euros in cash, according to one of these sources.
One of the burglars then stumbled upon Mr. Breton's driver, who is staying at his home, and locked the three victims in the toilet before fleeing.
Thierry Breton, slightly injured at the temple, and his wife on the wrist, did not wish to be supported by firefighters.
Since 2009, Mr. Breton has been the CEO of Atos, giant of French IT.
The investigation was entrusted to the third district of the Paris judicial police (3rd DPJ).
