Large-scale checks are being prepared

According to the head of the Emergency Situations Ministry Evgeny Zinichev, the department is preparing to conduct unscheduled inspections of children's health camps and other recreation centers. At the same time, he emphasized that inspections should not "have the character of examination on a formal basis." As noted by Zinichev, “it’s not possible that an evacuation exercise was conducted and no one paid attention to the whole tent camp.”

At the moment, Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev has already announced checks.

“In the Krasnodar Territory, absolutely all camps will be checked out of plan. The tragic events in the Khabarovsk Territory in the tent camp showed that we are not always ready for emergency situations. But when it comes to children's lives, there can be no compromise. I express my condolences to the families of the dead children - this is the worst thing that can be for the parents, ”he said.

In turn, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev criticized the work of the regional authorities, in particular, the Khabarovsk Territory Governor Sergey Furgal.

“Look, the governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, Furgal, said:“ Nobody knew that there was a camp, that it was private. ” What does it mean? Whose duty is to know? What is this statement from the governor? ”The prime minister commented on a recent official statement that the regional authorities were not aware of the functioning of the camp.

Medvedev noted that if nobody knew about the camp, this means that the administration does not perform its duties well.

He instructed to understand the situation and at the end of the test to report on the results.
