This is reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

The average cost of a thousand cubic meters of imported gas for Ukraine in May 2019 was $ 205.3. Over the month, it fell by 2.4%.

Ukraine acquired most of the gas from companies from Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, Poland and Austria.

On July 22, it became known that in preparation for the heating season, Ukraine had loaded 100% of its gas import capacity.

It is also noted that Naftogaz is seeking to pump into the underground storage facilities two billion cubic meters more gas than usual. The reason for this is Russia's possible stopping of gas transit to the EU through Ukraine, which will complicate future gas imports from the EU.

In January, Natalya Boyko, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, announced that Moscow would have to sign a new gas transit contract with Kiev because of the unavailability of Nord Stream 2.

Expert Stanislav Mitrakhovich, in an interview with Nation News, commented on this statement Boyko.
