Thus, Turchinov responded to the performance of a number of factions, and in particular the votes that were cast for the party “Opposition Platform - For Life”.
“Turchinov’s statement is a typical reaction of a representative of the outgoing political elite in Ukraine, who cannot reconcile with the fact that a large demand for change has matured in Ukrainian society, which was reflected in the voting results at the parliamentary elections. Turchinov realizes what actions of the old government provoked discontent of the citizens of the country, nevertheless, he again turns the barrel-organ about allegedly some pro-Russian projects, ”noted Mezyuho.
He added that the party “The Opposition Platform - For Life” is in favor of normalizing relations with Russia, but this is, as the expert emphasized, a pro-Ukrainian political force.
“I think her success is due to the fact that Ukrainian society is tired of the war party and wants a peaceful settlement of the situation in the east of the country. Most Ukrainians do not accept the Russophobic policy that Turchinov and Poroshenko have been pursuing all five years after the coup d’état, ”the political analyst explained.
According to him, even voting for the party “Servant of the People”, the Ukrainians voted for an update in Ukrainian politics.
Earlier, Turchinov declared the readiness of a significant part of Ukrainians to “exchange freedom and responsibility for full and comfortable slavery”.
