His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, arrived at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Saturday.
The President of the People's Republic of China, President Xi Jinping, and senior Chinese leaders attended the ceremony.
The grand opening ceremony began with the handshake of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, senior Chinese leaders, ministers and officials.
Then, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, accompanied by the Chinese President, went to the platform of honor, playing the national peace of the United Arab Emirates and the People's Republic of China, while the artillery fired 21 rounds of salute to his Highness.
A group of Emirati and Chinese children dressed in national dress welcomed HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The military parade ceremony was also welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Sabah.
