Catalan police detained two people suspected of involvement in the rape of a Russian woman in the Spanish city of Barcelona. Along with them, a Spanish citizen was arrested, which law enforcement agencies consider to be involved in these events, reports El Periodico.

According to the newspaper, the police became aware of the incident of July 16, when passers-by noticed a confused woman on the street asking for help. According to the publication, there were hematomas on her body, and there was blood from her mouth.
The victim was sent to the hospital. Doctors suspected that the woman had been sexually abused and reported it to the police. They began to establish the circumstances of the incident.
The first testimony of the victim was incoherent, but later she was able to tell what happened to her. According to the Russians, who bring the Spanish media, she does not remember exactly how she got into the place where she was raped.
She was able to tell that she fell asleep at a bus stop at the bus station of Estacio del Nord in Barcelona and woke to the fact that someone struck her.
According to the victim, she was taken to a wasteland and held there for two days, sexually abused. She noted that the place resembled an improvised camp, where the persons holding it lived. Later, the woman managed to escape.
On Friday morning, police detained two suspects of rape, who turned out to be citizens of Romania. Also within the framework of the investigation, a woman, a Spanish citizen, was arrested and suspected of illegally holding the injured Russian woman.
According to La Vanguardia, the police also managed to find the mother of the victim. According to the publication, she lives in the resort town of Benidorm. According to the victim, she was on vacation with her mother, but a quarrel arose between them.
In turn, the mother of the woman who suffered from the violence stated that she did not know about her daughter’s stay in Barcelona and believed that she had flown to Russia.
According to El Pais, the girl really plans to fly to Russia in the near future and the police intend to fix her testimony for later use in court.
