Mathieu Grébille, European and world champion with the French handball team, will join Paris SG in the summer of 2020 for three seasons, announced the club of the capital in a statement Wednesday.

Aged 27, Grébille will make his 12th and final season in Montpellier, before evolving with the five-time champion of France from June 30, 2020.

"For any handball player, it is difficult to refuse a proposal from Paris Saint-Germain, a club that confirms year after year its presence among the best formations in the world," he said.

With 70 selections, Grébille was European champion with the Blues in 2014, world champion in 2015 and won the silver medal at the Rio Olympics in 2016.

Long removed from the field between 2015 and 2018 (injuries to the left shoulder and right knee, then operation to the right shoulder), he found his place among the Blues for tanned adventure at the World-2019, at the price of a change of position, passing to the left wing.

PSG lost one of the best left wingers in the world with the departure of the German Uwe Gensheimer, who returned to the Rhein Neckar Löwen in Mannheim.
