For the third weekend of the holidays, traffic will be very dense on most major highways in the direction of the South and coasts.

Traffic still looks difficult throughout France this weekend in the direction of departures on holiday: the day Friday is ranked orange at the national level by Bison Futé while Saturday is classified red in the direction of departures and orange for the returns.

For the third weekend of the summer holidays, traffic will be very dense on most major highways in the direction of the South and coasts, especially the A7 and A9.

Friday, the traffic is classified orange in the direction of departures in all France but especially in the agglomerations where the departures will be added to the usual displacements. It is advisable to leave the Ile-de-France before 7 am.

Saturday will be the most complicated day

Red in the direction of departure, and orange for returns, Saturday will be the most complicated day of the weekend, especially in the Rhone Valley on the A7 and along the Mediterranean on the A9. Bison Fûté advises to leave the big cities before 9 o'clock. The day of Sunday is classified green at the national level except in the regions Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Great East, and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

The 13th, 14th and 15th stages of the Tour de France are also likely to cause traffic difficulties around the route of the stages, in the south-west of the country, towards Pau, Tarbes or Foix.
